    • Your desk

Something to look at between emails. It takes about as much room as a small plant.

    • A shelf or sideboard

Next to books, a lamp or a plant, where guests notice it the moment it moves.

    • Your nightstand

Under a lamp or a soft light at night, the wings throw slow shadows on the wall.

      REAL WOOD

      Beech body. Black walnut base.

Not plastic, not printed. The wings are beech with dark, banded grain, and the base is black walnut. Because it's natural wood, the grain on yours will be different from the photos.

      Real footage.

      GEARS HIDDEN

All you see is the ray.

The gears sit inside the base, so there's no gear train out in the open. A polished rod and fine wires with small walnut counterweights carry the motion up to the wings.

      Real footage, slowed down.

      USB-C

      Charge it. Press once.

A built-in rechargeable battery charges over USB-C, the kind of cable most phones use. No batteries to buy, no app, no remote.

      Wooden manta ray sculpture with size labels: 24 x 24 x 18 cm, about 350 g

      The real size

      • 24 × 24 × 18 cm (9.4 × 9.4 × 7.1 in)
      • About 350 g (12.3 oz)
      • Beech body, black walnut base
      • Built-in battery, charges over USB-C

About the footprint of a small desk plant. Leave a little clear space around it for the wings.

      A Christmas gift that moves.

For the one who has everything. Something they would never buy for themselves.
For the desk worker. Thirty seconds of calm between calls.
For the ocean lover. A manta ray that swims on the shelf.

      Questions, answered

Wooden manta ray sculpture from behind, showing the flame-burnt wings and USB-C base

A small motor in the base drives it, so up close you'll hear a soft mechanical sound. There's no music, chime or ticking gear train out in the open.

It has a built-in rechargeable battery that charges over USB-C, the kind of cable most phones use. No batteries to buy.

Same design and mechanism, but it's natural wood, so the grain and tone will differ from piece to piece.

The body is solid beech and walnut; the wires and wing joints are fine, so handle the wings gently. If it arrives damaged, email support@corvande.com with a photo and we send a free replacement.
