Zoom Detective™ Kids Microscope — 1000× With Its Own Screen

It is a nice portable microscope. Small in size but fairly powerful. Clarity is excellent though I wish it had more magnification settings. There are only 3 settings that I would estimate are in 25% increments. It focuses better than I expected given the size of the focus wheel. It’s stable even if handheld over the subject. The price is well worth it for what you’re getting and I think young kids would really enjoy it. As a coin collector it is excellent for checking dates and looking for errors. Especially for those of us with older eyes.

This is so fun! I bought this but before I looked at the reviews and some said it was terrible, I still bought it and I am glad I did! It’s so high quality but when it comes with the glass on top of camera/front, take that off then use it because the glass blocks the camera view and you can’t see anything but like white and scratches (even after taking the sticker off) it looks nice and small. I like how you can adjust to focus more. It’s educational and durable. I do recommend!

This microscope is something that I as a curious life-long-learner adult am so excited about. The magnification on this device is as strong as you’d ever need it (outside of a professional laboratory). The LED lights allow it to be used anywhere. The focus adjustment is easy to use. I haven’t even used it to capture photos or connect to a computer. I’ve attached an image of the tip of a knife that has a small piece broken off that is not even visible to the naked eye. And another picture zoomed in on the threads of my sweatpants. I bought this as a Black Friday sale item, but even at full price is more than worth it. Don’t let the yellow plastic body fool you. My adult children keep “borrowing” this because it is so interesting to use. It’s easy to use, the rechargeable batteries last a long long time, and the built in display screen is high quality with excellent quality of picture. My daughter has a really nice microscope of her own, but this handheld device is so portable and easy to use that she’s wanting one of these as well. Very pleased with this product.

My 9 year old son chose this for his birthday, and can honestly say he is thrilled. He is engaging with the world around him and with his 4 year old sister and it's amazing to see how excited they both get. Not the most powerful microscope, but easy to use and portable. Definitely recommend!

I like this but I cannot compare it to the wonder quest one. It doesn't magnify as much as I expected but I have not actually played with it much. I need to read the directions. It came with a lanyard but it won't go through the holes to attach it. Comes with a protective case over the lense. And a charger cord. This was a gift for my daughter to explore bugs and anything else. Educational I love the purple color. Fairly easy to use

This microscope has been a fantastic discovery tool for my kid, the larger screen makes it easy for her to view specimens without straining her eyes. The 1000X magnification actually delivers, and setup was simple, we started using it right out of the box.

Great gift. I purchased these for 6 year-old twins, and they both liked them very much. This microscope encourages them to go out into nature on a search for interesting insects. They can take photos, and with the help of parents, can view them on a computer to learn all about the subject.

This microscope is great fun for kids; my son loves it. It's very easy to use and hold. The screen is perfect because you can explore and see small objects. An excellent purchase to keep children entertained and exploring.

My grandchildren and I went on a walk around a nearby pond looking for natural items to view with the microscope, such as goose down and feathers, fronds, fungi, and pods. We cut some pods and mushrooms in half. Then we gathered around the computer screen as we observed each item under the microscope. Wonderful family event. And the manufacturer promptly answered my question about a missing SD card.

This is the neatest toy. My gra children love it and spend hours looking at everything with it. Nice size for little hands and comes with some preloaded slides for educational purposes. Magnification is great and the battery lasts a long time. Easy to use.

This was a great purchase. It works well for what it is. I use it for look at coins, or just a magnifier. I like that I can instantly take a photo of the object I am looking at. Great gift, easy for kids to use.

I bought this for my 9 year old nephew's birthday. I opened it up to check it before I gave it to him and to make sure it was charged. I thought it was pretty cool! It really allows you to see some cool detail in so many things! I don't believe the magnification is 1000% like the toy claims, but it's still providing a lot of fun for our curious kiddo!

I bought these for my grandsons on a whim & boy do they love them!! We now look at everything under the microscope & the fact that they can take a picture of what they are seeing to look at again later adds to the fun! They are 7 years old & able to figure out what all the buttons do easily! Highly recommended!!!

This microscope is so cool! My 7 year old nephew learned how to use it very quickly and was looking at everything inside and outside the house. The picture function is awesome. My teenage boys were playing with it and so were all of the adults in the house. Great quality!

Fantastic way to keep the grandkids occupied for the afternoon in the park looking at all the plants, bugs, dirt, spider webs and their own fingerprints. The image quality is excellent and we were pleasantly surprised as the he cost was so low. My three year old granddaughter found the thumb adjuster easy to use and had a wonderful time all on her own finding princess bugs. The units are rugged and held up well to rough treatment from our grandson as well. I was surprised at the magnification and how crisp the image was on the scope. Thanks for a great product!

My kiddo loves this! I wasn't paying attention to all the features when I bought it, but you can take pictures with it (something my 7yo figured out almost immediately). We've been checking out a lot of cool things in nature and adding it to our homeschooling (awesome for science education). It gets a lot of use! We've barely even used the slides it came with. My only complaint would be that it did not come with instructions inside the box, so we've had to guess a little bit on how it works.
